Pesto at The Davenport Arms played host to celebratory drinks following the wedding of English former professional footballer, Andy Woodward, and partner Zelda Worthington.
The pair rounded-off their celebrations with close friends and family at the Marton-based Italian restaurant, after the nearby wedding ceremony.
Guests, included BAFTA award-winning journalist and broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire and award-winning sports journalist for The Guardian and The Observer, Daniel Taylor.
General Manager of Pesto at the Davenport Arms, Mike Hirst said: “We were delighted to welcome Andy and Zelda at the restaurant on their special day. It really was a fantastic day for both them and their guests and we wish them every happiness in their marriage.”
Pesto purchased and reopened the 18th century building in February 2017, retaining many of the building’s original features, including the low oak beams and open fires, the 120-cover dining space boasts a spacious and relaxed feel.
Renowned for its Italian small plates or ‘piatinni’, Pesto boasts over 40 dishes full of big flavours. Giving a true taste of little Italy, dishes include Pizzetta picante con salsiccia with spicy Italian sausage and Penne con pollo al dragoncello with chicken breast, fresh tarragon, mascarpone and pecorino cheese.
